So far they are great. Quality seems good. Love that they are compact (really its why I bought them). They go from 5-50 lbs so no need to have numerous sets of weights lying around. They are light enough for me but heavy enough for hubby. I would totally recommend them for a home gym.
The negatives... takes a bit of time to change weights if you are trying to do a video that is moving quickly. MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the weights where you have to unscrew the cap on each side and change plates then screw the cap back on. Individual barbells would be quicker but this is the sacrifice you make for the compact design. Only other dislike is that they can be a bit bulky (for smaller people) as they are bigger than a typical barbell to accommodate for all the plates. Again small sacrifice for the flexibility you get with these.
I would totally recommend them for a home gym and I would HIGHLY suggest investing in these vs the weights where you have to screw the cap off every time and change the plates. Who has time for that?
So far the customer service has also been excellent and delivery was quick.

I've used these for 8 weeks of 4-day workouts, and am on my ninth now. Wanted to wait for a little to do a review so I could have actual hands-on. If you want the short of the long of it, they're worth the money so far!
Pros:
o They're very convenient to have around, you can click to a new weight the next week and keep building progress. This can be a double-edged sword as if you go too high you won't be building muscle control! But that's not a fault of the weight, they're just so convenient.
o The build quality feels solid! These seem to be reproductions of the Bowflex weights... but they are of good quality. The locking mechanism is polymer of some kind but it doesn't take any weight and it should only be moving when disengaged. So I think it'll last as long as I do lol.
o If you were to buy an entire rack of plates and 2 grips, you would save quite a bit. But then you will be swapping plates... so you'd need to buy 4 grips! But lets be real, you're going to typically need 6 grips for proper workouts. These things save a lot of room and may be more expensive at the end of the day, but not as much as you'd imagine.
Cons:
o So your weight is locked and won't come up eh... well, it's your fault! Hah, but no really it is our fault and I've done it a few times myself. The issue is odd, the locking button on the bottom of the grip somehow hasn't fully been depressed and it enters this weird "safety" feature that locks it down so the weights can't spill off the stand while moving them.
How do you stop the weights from locking down so you have to fiddle with them for 10 minutes to get them to unlock? As you place the weight down, rock it from side to side in your hand as you put it down (do it with both hands) and it should slot down with no resistance. Generally, you need the grip to slot down with no resistance. If you feel ANY resistance, pick it up, maybe turn it around and try again. If there is resistance, rock it to straighten the other plates out. I've had no issues since figuring this out.
o The weight itself is pretty large, so doing Arnold overhead shoulderlifts or dumbell deadlifts is a bit cramped and crowded. But with my shoulder span, it's not too much of an issue. Deadlifts are more crowded for me since you typically want the weight centred as possible.
So that's it for that. Generally, be controlled when putting the weights into the holder and make sure they slip in freely. So long as there's no resistance, they will adjust fine and freely. If you accidentally lock them down, roll the entire thing on its back and kinda just keep fiddling with it back and forth until it managed to unlock. Pressing down on the "bottom" of the holder when it's locked and turned over seems to help sometimes. But this can take a while.
So far I love this purchase, and I might end up buying a heavier set yet especially if MVMNT finds a good repro set to sell later. MVMNT has definitely picked the best Bowflex reproduction out there. I am absolutely happy with my purchase.
